So I finally caved and went to the doctor. In a nutshell here is where I am. I have "atypical shinsplints", more like something called "Intersection Syndrome". It's
inflamed soft tissue in my shin area for which I was prescribed 2 weeks no running (Boo) and 1 week no walking (for exercise), a routine of Advil or Aleve and icing and ice massage. The doctor is optimistic that we caught it before it got worse and that this will nip it in the bud. I have my fingers crossed so hard. Running has become such a release for me. It's going to be a LONG 2 weeks....
